About
The Film Students Association (FSA) represents the students belonging to the Department of Cinema and Media Arts at York University.
We strive to bridge the gap between the department and the students by representing the opinions, concerns, ideas, and interests of film students at York University. Along with being a resource for film students, we encourage and promote student projects in the field of cinema or media arts, give the opportunity for students to build professional relationships with each other, and hold regular events such as screenings, mixers, and workshops to bring students together outside the classroom. Though our focus is on the interest of students studying film, our events and workshops are open to any student!
Our mission is to foster an inclusive environment in which students are given the chance to participate in activities related to film, network and meet others, and be part of a community within the university.
